At above 80 ℃ from water or acetic acid of inositol is white crystal, melting point 253 ℃, the density of 1.752 g/cm 3 (15 ℃), sweet taste, soluble in water and acetic acid, and no optical activity.It can be extracted from corn soaking liquid.It is mainly used in the treatment of liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, fatty liver and hypercholesterolemia.
